I am seeking an experienced Credit Controller to join my clients finance team. Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing customer accounts, maintaining strong debtor control procedures, and supporting the overall cash flow objectives of the business. Key Responsibilities
Manage the end to end credit control process, ensuring timely collection of outstanding customer balances.
Maintain regular contact with customers regarding overdue accounts and accurately record all communications.
Monitor aged debt reports and follow up on outstanding payments in line with company procedures.
Perform customer account reconciliations and investigate payment discrepancies.
Manage customer credit limits, account holds, and new account credit approval processes.
Conduct credit reference checks and liaise with credit insurers regarding customer credit cover and risk assessments.
Prepare and issue monthly customer statements, copy invoices, proof of delivery documentation, and transaction listings.
Process customer credit notes, rebates, and account adjustments accurately and efficiently.
Allocate customer payments, bank transfers, cheques, and cash receipts to customer accounts.
Prepare regular debtor, bad debt, rebate, and credit exposure reports for senior management.
Requirements
Previous experience in a Credit Control, Accounts Receivable, or Finance Administration role.
Strong understanding of debtor management, account reconciliations, and credit control procedures.
Experience working with credit insurance providers such as Atradius would be advantageous.
Excellent communication and customer relationship management skills.
