Job Title: Print Assistant

Location: Dublin 11

Salary: €18-19ph

Overview

Our client, a well-established and growing print manufacturing company, is seeking a Print Assistant to join their production team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a career within the printing industry while working alongside an experienced Lithographic Printer.

The successful candidate will assist with the day-to-day operation of Heidelberg lithographic printing presses, helping to ensure production runs efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and safety. Full training and ongoing support will be provided.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Senior Lithographic Printer with the setup and operation of Heidelberg printing presses.
  • Prepare materials, paper stock, inks and plates for production runs.
  • Help monitor print quality throughout production and report any issues.
  • Support machine changeovers and job preparation.
  • Assist with routine cleaning and basic maintenance of printing equipment.
  • Ensure work areas are kept clean, organised and safe.
  • Move and prepare materials for production as required.
  • Follow production schedules and work instructions.
  • Complete basic production records where required.
  • Adhere to all health, safety and quality procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with the wider production team to ensure customer deadlines are achieved.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience in a manufacturing, production or print environment is essential.
  • An interest in developing a career within the printing industry.
  • Good attention to detail and willingness to learn.
  • Strong work ethic and reliable attendance.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and follow instructions.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Physically capable of working in a production environment and handling materials safely.
