Payroll & Finance Administrator

€40 -€45K DOE

We are currently partnering with a growing healthcare organisation in Dublin 6 to recruit a Payroll & Finance Administrator to join their finance team.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional who enjoys a varied role and would like to take responsibility for payroll while also gaining exposure to accounts payable, accounts receivable, resident billing, procurement and general finance administration. You will join a supportive and collaborative team, with excellent opportunities for professional development and career progression.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process payroll accurately and on time in line with company procedures and Irish statutory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate employee records within payroll systems.
  • Validate timesheets, rosters, annual leave and absence records.
  • Prepare payroll reports and supporting schedules.
  • Assist with payroll reconciliations and payroll journals.
  • Respond to employee payroll queries in a professional and timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with Revenue requirements, including PAYE, PRSI, USC, pensions and BIK.
  • Support year-end payroll activities and audits.
  • Assist with processing supplier invoices and matching invoices to purchase orders and delivery documentation.
  • Reconcile supplier statements and assist with payment runs.
  • Assist with resident billing, monthly invoicing and private resident charges.
  • Support Fair Deal and other funding claim administration.
  • Monitor debtor balances and assist with credit control activities.
  • Reconcile resident accounts and investigate discrepancies.

Key Requirements:

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in payroll administration.
  • Strong knowledge of Irish payroll legislation.
  • Previous experience working in a finance or accounts environment.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and numerical accuracy.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Desirable Experience
  • Experience using Sage Micropay.
  • Experience using Sage 50 or similar accounting software.
  • Experience with purchase order systems and procurement processes.
  • Previous experience within a healthcare or similar environment would be advantageous.
