Job Description

Senior Key Account Consultant

At Osborne, we are currently recruiting for a Senior Key Account Consultant to join a professional training, learning and development organisation based in Drogheda.

 

This is a commercially focused role where you will manage and develop key client relationships, identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and provide tailored training and development solutions based on each client’s needs.

 

You will take a consultative approach to account management, developing a strong understanding of your clients’ organisations, challenges and future requirements. The focus will be on building long-term partnerships, increasing account value and proactively identifying new opportunities for growth.

Duties

  • Manage and develop a portfolio of key client accounts
  • Build strong, trusted relationships with senior stakeholders and decision-makers
  • Develop a detailed understanding of each client’s business, training needs and future requirements
  • Take a consultative approach to recommending tailored training and learning solutions
  • Identify opportunities to grow existing accounts and increase client spend
  • Proactively develop account plans and strategies to support long-term growth
  • Identify cross-selling and upselling opportunities across the organisation’s range of services
  • Follow up on leads, proposals and quotations and drive opportunities through to completion
  • Conduct regular client reviews to understand changing requirements and identify future opportunities
  • Prepare proposals, pricing and solutions based on client needs
  • Work closely with internal teams to ensure a high level of service and successful delivery
  • Maintain accurate account, pipeline and activity information within the CRM system
  • Monitor account performance and take ownership of achieving agreed commercial and growth targets
  • Support the development of new ideas and initiatives to strengthen client relationships and increase revenue

 

Skills & Experience

  • Strong experience in account management, business development or consultative sales
  • Proven ability to grow existing accounts and identify new commercial opportunities
  • Experience managing and developing relationships with key clients and senior stakeholders
  • Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to understand client needs and recommend appropriate solutions
  • Commercially minded with a strong focus on account growth and revenue generation
  • Confident preparing proposals, discussing pricing and negotiating with clients
  • Excellent relationship-building and communication skills
  • Proactive approach with the ability to identify opportunities rather than wait for enquiries
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts and opportunities
  • Comfortable working towards commercial targets and KPIs
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate CRM and account information
  • Confident using Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and CRM systems
  • Experience within training, learning and development, professional services or a similar solutions-based environment would be an advantage
