Branch Manager – Motor Trade
We are seeking an experienced and commercially focused Branch Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of a busy motor trade facility based in Wicklow. The successful candidate will combine strong people-management and customer-service skills with a hands-on approach to technical operations.

Key Responsibilities:
- Workshop Support: Provide hands-on assistance to the workshop team with fitting, wheel balancing, tracking and alignment, particularly during busy periods.
- Quality Assurance: Ensure all work is carried out safely, accurately and in line with company procedures and required standards.
- Daily Operations: Manage bookings, workloads and workshop flow to ensure the team operates efficiently and customers receive a prompt service.
- Workshop Standards: Lead by example and ensure tools, equipment and working practices are maintained to a high standard.
- Sales & Profit Performance: Take responsibility for driving branch sales and achieving weekly and monthly revenue and profit targets.
- Performance Management: Produce accurate sales forecasts and provide regular performance updates to senior management.
- Customer Relationships: Build and maintain strong customer relationships through professional service, expert advice and high-quality workmanship.
- Stock Management: Monitor stock levels, maintain accurate system records and take action to prevent shortages or unnecessary stockholding.
- Budget & Cost Management: Oversee local expenditure, equipment, utilities and maintenance costs to ensure they remain within agreed budgets.
- Branch Administration: Maintain accurate records and ensure all company processes and administrative requirements are consistently followed.
- Team Development: Support, coach and mentor employees to improve technical ability, customer service and overall branch performance.
- Staff Scheduling: Manage staff rotas, annual leave and daily attendance to ensure appropriate staffing levels are maintained.
- Health & Safety: Ensure full compliance with health and safety procedures, including safe lifting practices, correct equipment use and appropriate PPE.
Candidate Profile
- Previous management or supervisory experience within the motor trade, automotive, workshop or a similar environment.
- Strong practical and technical experience, including fitting, balancing and wheel alignment/tracking.
- Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.
- A strong commercial focus with experience working towards sales, revenue or profitability targets.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to effectively manage competing priorities.
- Proven experience in leading, motivating and developing a team.
- A good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
- A proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to lead by example.
